Time & Location
08 Oct 2024, 12:00 – 13:00
Virtual Town Hall via Zoom
About the event
You are invited to a Policy Town Hall to inform the CIRCULÉIRE network’s response to the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communication's (DECC) public consultation on draft regulations aimed at reforming the End-of-Waste decision-making process managed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
These reforms are part of the Waste Action Plan for a Circular Economy and are intended to streamline the application and decision-making process.
Join us at 12pm to discuss the proposed changes, and to reflect on how far they address the key challenges (including those already highlighted by the 2022 EoW Thematic Working Group).
At this session, you will:
Hear a short overview of the proposed changes to the EoW application and decision-making processes
Reflect on some of the recommendations put forward by the 2023 EoW Thematic Working Group, to assess what’s been addressed and what is missing (See the TWG’s final policy briefing here)
Engage in dialogue with network members about how far these proposed changes will go in streamlining EoW processes for your business, highlighting any gaps or opportunities for further improvement
Your inputs will inform CIRCULÉIRE’s submission ahead of the consultation deadline on 9th October, 5:30 pm. For full details on the consultation, visit the DECC website: Consultation on Draft Regulations.
We look forward to your participation!
Before this consultation you can catch up on our 2022 Thematic Working Group Topic "End-of-Waste, By-Products & Waste Licensing Pathfinder" here
